So two days ago I got a new Trombone!
YEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS -new trombone dance-
It's a Shire Pro Select model, which means it's some of the highest quality parts of a trombone put together!
Shires also handmake their horns, they have the best quality horns EVER!
I'm still using my Bach 42BL for marching season though! My beautiful babies ^^
Anyways sorry for not updating, been way too busy with Section leadering, which turned out to not only be extremely stressful but extremely rewarding. [of course it's the delayed gratification type]
I am now a member of the Young Artists Symphony, they're pretty cool. I think I'd want to be in CYO... But too late now I guess? Either way...
I'm trying to think less about things that will not help me acheive my goals, like negative thoughts. Productivity is the key to my success, I'm learning a lot!

Carnegie Hall
Carnegie Hall was absolutly amazing.
The hall in itself was gorgeous.
It was huge, and stretched three levels high, with a gift shop somewhere in between.
the red velvet seats streched far back, filled not quite to the brim with people. After all, it's not like we're Boston symphony or LA philharmonic or anything.
I remember looking up and seeing at the very top the Gold design all along the top of the ceiling...
So beautiful.
And the sound...
it was so resonant. The hall made the sound carry for almost two full seconds after we ended.
I remember after our soundcheck, laughing because of the reverb.
It was amazing, and so surreal.

My dream
has always been to read music in color.
think, we could erase half of tempo markings that convey moods if we put it in color.
and colors are natural producers of feelings,
when you see blue, you feel calm or sad.
Red, rage, passion.
yellow, happy.
if we put these notes in colors, it would be a lot easier to understand what mood the composer is trying to convey.
But alas,
it is not eco-friendly.

The Jazz Ensemble
Everyone's trying to find a solution to the Jazz Ensemble continuing
Currently we haven't come up with much, and everyone's really cranky.
The music is in Vince's car, and we have no place to practice
can it sounds like carl isnt interested anymore in directing.
:c this is making me beyond sad.
for those who don't know...
Vince, the director of the Jazz Ensemble got arrested last sunday
he failed to register himself as a sex offender,
and also apprently didn't notify the admins and Mesa college that were using the rooms.
his bail was set at $500,000.
